Hi Guys,
Finally got my hands on my 40D today, took it home and was very disciplined, charged the battery first. While waiting for the battery unpacked the rest of the goodies, installed the software etc.
Eventually after a wee wait the flickering of the charge light was on constant, big smile at this point, put battery into camera and had some practice shots with my 18-75 that I got with the package, pretty impressed in fact very impressed, then I tried out my Tamron 70-300, again results were a lot better than my old DSLR.
Looking at manual I still have a lot to learn about the camera, but have managed to pick up some of the basics on net tutorials.
