My little nephew asked me to photograph his birds (small ones). But how can you take pics of them while they are behind bars, so to speak.
Appreciate any suggestion,
Thanks

Get in the cage with the bird?
How big is the cage? Is it big enough for you to be close to the bars when you shoot? Was thinking that might at least blur them. :?

That's what I was thinking. Get the lens as close as it will allow, then maybe the lines will be blurred enough to disappear. Am I in the right direction.

My thought would be to put glass in front of the open cage door hole, and shoot through that. Assuming you cant take the birds out of the cage. Another thougth, if they sit still by nature, is to shoot one shot, shif L or R about 1 cm and take another shot. In PS you could then composite the two shots using the "stripes" between the cage bars.
