I took delivery of a new toy tonight, this is the first shot with it.
Can you guess what tools were used? This was exactly as taken, no cropping or processing.

I was just thinking about how most macro shots of insects are taken in a high key fashion with a shift to the right to expose the highlights.
This photo is very low key and very dark, and the nontraditional angle makes it interesting as well. It is like he is walking out of a dark alley coming to get you!

Thanks for the comments folks, I agree about the lighting, I like it too ;)
Just to put you out your misery, this was shot with the canon 100mm f2.8, reversing ring, 18-55mm kit lens, flash (bounced of white card behind).

the shot is pretty poor.i guees with the lens u have tho its not bad,.
