View Full Version : Built a Track in the Backyard

My buddy built a track in his backyard so since I had the camera in the back seat I snapped a few pics. The lighting was incredibly harsh, total sunlight midday. Couldn't have been worse in such an open field. Limited my shots since I didn't want to shoot into the sun.

The vignetting is a bit harsh for me but the shots are great otherwise. What do you shoot with?

Nice shots. I like #5.
That's a big back yard.

Is that a yard or a football field?

Great shots!

That's some "backyard"....!

Looks like you got some good results considering the lighting.

When you're a farmer, that's your backyard. He's super excited because he's never been able to keep the track his dad always plants there. This is the first year he gets to keep it over the summer. He's AMPED! :)

Cool. Is he going to keep it all summer or will it be planted with something? Maybe a business opportunity (then again, big liability if someone hurts themselves).

How did you get that first shot? Looks like a very high vantage point.

Around a farm there are my high objects. Could have been partway up a silo, from the hay mow of a barn, up in the bucket of a loader, standing on the cab of a tractor, etc.

Thats a nice looking back-yard track. Mine needs a little more work after the winter months.:(

These are good shots - colors are vibrant and the one with the blurring at the end is cool :D

He is going to keep it all summer, which is a first. This also mean's I'll have a place to ride  The first and second shots are actually taken about 20ft up on a silo.

Thank you! It was tough to get color out of the daylight situation, especially since I was on dirt. DPP helped a little. The last shot is my favorite because of the editing.

That looks like fun. Good shots.

It was fun, I can't wait to get my bike on it, but I doubt mine will survive :p

A little birdy told me the course is a bit more extreme.
The 40' table top is ready for some tire-muffler impact action.

Nice shots by the way. That's a sexy barn.

You crazy Pepsi Generation. You figure everthing out.

Don't look around here - you might get hooked - especially in the transportation and motorsport section. There are some talented motocross shooters here.

There is no way he found this place on Facebook, I sent him the link.

He loads the page in the morning, and it ready by the time he goes to bed.
