Yeah, so it wasn't ideal. The lighting was from behind the dancers, the indoor lighting sucked and to top it all off, my 28mm 1.8 is about as fast as a snail.
I think I did get some decent pictures from the show. Most were taken with the 28 and a few were taken with my 17-40L, but the lack of light kinda curbed that lens. Let me know what you think of the girls/pics. Feedback would be appreciated. Enjoy

I like the group shot. Nice balance.
I don't like the PP on #2. At all. ;) Apart from that: Nice.
#3 is nice as well.

I kinda like #1, but I think a higher viewpoint would have worked better: You'd have kept the ceiling out of the frame and gotten a less distracting BG.

Looks like difficult circumstances to get a decent shot.

yeah #2 was mostly just me toying around. i couldnt figure out a good way to separate her from the background. Thanks for the feedback, it's certainly a learning process and I learned a lot that day. Hopefully my next job this weekend will be better.

The bokeh on #2 looks incredibly wierd.

I'd dial down your PP on ~2. Im guessing that was a selection and gaussian?

Rest of the shots are great. Good work.

Yeah, same here... # 3 is pretty cool, while the group shot is well framed with good composition.
