ohk so i want a first lighting setup, but i want something relatively decent,
i want to spend under 1K because then i don't have to pay import tax into the country (for a $1200 order i had to pay another $190 in tax!) which was just annoying as im a student and $$ is a bit harder to come by,
i'll be using it for doing client shots (mostly portraits) and i wont need anything hugely powerful, i will however need it for doing shoots of pieces of furniture, larger chairs and maybe even a sideboard,
it would be very useful to get 2x430ex's and light stands but im just wondering how they compare next to a strobe, size and portability are a bit of an issue or i'm thinking of getting the digibee setup but with the 2xB800's and a softbox as an extra which would be about $860ish + post, i would love a ring flash to do more creative portraits but that blows my budget, unless i only got a beginner bee (one b800, light stand ect) and then the ringflash with a soft box, which is about $920 without post, would appreciate some pearls before i go and blow my savings ;) lol
