Both are a tad soft IMO. In the first I'd back up about 15 to 20 feet so you catch more of the switch in the image and also so you don't clip the top of the signals. I think it would flow real nice if you could show where the tracks merge and catch just a little of the main track as it flows out the bottom left of the frame. Obviously I'd be really careful taking a shot like this since the grain train is more than likely in the siding because another train is coming behind you on the tracks you're standing in, but I'm sure you looked before putting yourself in that position.

I like the second one except for the tight crop. I'd back off a little and show a bit more of the surroundings, but I like the tele-smash look of the grain cars which look pretty new.
