What focal length and aperture do you ride on for portraits?

Depends on the subject, lights I'm using and where and what its going to be used for.

85-90mm for APS sensor cameras. Usually f/4 or 5.6, because I like to get both eyes in focus.

Yes I like the whole face to be in focus except the odd time

In the studio, it's mostly 85mm, f/11.
Out of the studio, anything goes.

And I'm usually f2-4 to soften the background on exec portraits 85 on ff. Face turned all the way back to camera so both eyes are always sharp...

Yeah, out of the studio, where I don't have control of the background, I think f/2.8 is my most used portrait aperture.
