I've just installed DPP 1.5 and I'm trying it out. Works fine on my 10D images.
I have a question about the "Dynamic range adjust" controls. Below the graph there are two edit boxes, which are set to the values 0 and 4095 by default. Next to those edit boxes are numbers between brackets, for example "(-9,0)" and "(3,4)". What do these numbers mean?
The "Dynamic range adjust" is explained on page 3-16 of the manual, but it doesn't say anything about these numbers..... ???

They are not comma's they are decimal places.
I think (others may know better) that 0.0 on the scale is mid grey and the scale is giving you 3.8 stops above that and 9 below it. Its not linear though so the curve imposed on it. The numbers in the box are not linear (move the sliders around and you will see) so it is giving you a representation of both the linear and non-linear response.
I think I know what I mean but I'm sure someone else will put it much better.
I do like DPP 1.5 though

I,ve got version 1.1.0.2 with the 20D. Where's the update available? A quick look at Canon's site has drawn a blank.
Thanks.

Where I live, we use a comma to denote the decimal point....... 8) so in my DPP I see comma's and not points.
I think you're right, I think these numbers indicate stops.

Doh! Should have noticed where you live  I have an accounts assistant from Amsterdam and it confuses the hell out of me when she uses commas, even after a year
