Can anyone recommend some locations in CT, preferably southern CT. I'm just looking for some ideas.

Thimble Islands in Guilford

Lots of places: White Flower Farm south of Litchfield, the town of Litchfield, Flanders Nature Center in Woodbury, The Audubon Nature preserve in Southbury, Almost any of the towns that border the sound, Hammonasset State park, and if you have to chose only one place, go to Mystic near Groton in the south east part of the state.
