Hello all.

Have had the s300 for the past year and have had a blast with it. The limitations are a tad frustrating but that hasn't stopped me from pointing the tiny thing at every object/person around. (I can fit this thing in my pocket!)

Now it seems I have the chance to upgrade. I could get the G2 for $500 and buy a bunch of accessories for it or just get the G3 and buy accessories later when I have some extra cash.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I plan on not upgrading again for at least a few years.

I'd stop fretting and just go ahead and buy the G2. It's ridiculous how quickly new models come out, features are marginally improved, and cost's keep lowering for any given level of feature(s) and quality.

In the computer and electronic arena, it is always prudent to wait since the "better deal" always shows up within a day or two of your purchase.

However, who wants to sit on the fence your entire life. Besides, everyone who waits to purchase a G3 will be kicking themselves in the butt when the G4 rolls around. So in the long run you'll end up saving money if you buy a G2 in the $500.00 range.

It may be worth the wait, for 3 reasons. 1. I believe the G3 will hit the market very very soon (if it hasn't already). 2. You can decide whether you really want the G3 features compared to the G2. 3. The price of the G2 will probably drop further, so it will be a good deal if you take that option (just make sure you get it before it goes out of production).

Of course, as everyone says, you're missing possibilities every day that you wait.
