Now everyone knows that you aren't supposed to do this. Those relationships are hard to keep going but I though what the heck. So today I introduced my best friend (okay maybe I do only have one) to my favorite camera retailer.
Ah, I think it was love. Truly. He came away with a new toy that he will enjoy for a long time. It arrives early next week but I really think that his better half should just wrap in and leave it under the tree until Christmas morning.

OK. so Sheldon goes and makes a call to his favorite camera store. You all remember which one, the one where he has managed to pay for the college education of the owners two kids.
There just happens to be a NIB MKII there that someone ordered and backed out of. Hell of a deal.
Now I'm contributing to his kids Retirement Fund. Hence the reason for the sale of the 1D in the above Marketplace Forum.
Should be here on Monday. I'm super happy and super broke

Hey, cool! Congrats, Ian!
Now I can look forward to a whole winter of proper deer, goose and duck shots. There is this undocumented custom function on the 1DmkII which automatically inverts any picture you take when the function is turned on. Check out CFn-99 when you get your new toy Monday. Any rear end shots will magically turn into forward facing head shots! It's all done with mirrors and hologram!
GCPS III, look out!!!!! :D

I'm looking at a
DL'ed MKII manual and it says that I have to use CFn-143-2.1 to get that feature. Man, I got a lot to read.

Oops! Sorry. I must have a back-leveled firmware installed on mine.
BTW, time to start playing with the Chinese health ball to improve the coordination of your fingers, especially the left hand 'cuz you may have to go through some finger contortions to work the function and menu selection buttons.

You know there's this Russina guy that made a firmware hack for the MkII... it's suposed to make it work just like a D-Rebel!
