Shot last night. I used my Fong sphere and my 10-22mm lens. The PP was some over the top high pass filter and layer blending modes. And levels adjustments. C&C please.

I think by breakdancing you were trying to say b-boying.

I love them by the way though. Just watch the cut off body parts.

Whoa! Did anyone break bones? Looks like some snaps may occur!
Great action shots!

Yes..bboying..right. But they classify as breakdancers as well. So doesn't that make what they do a form of breakdancing? I'm just clarifying.

nice shots. capturing the action in breakdancing is tough. only a handful of poses, like the handstands, really show the motion... otherwise i've found that my own bboy shots just end up depicting people twisting their bodies and not necessarily "dancing"+

I used to bboy, pretty nice PP and captures, as rob said watch out for the cut off on body parts.

Ever try a Fish eye for this? It gives a pretty good look to the art. Some crews would probably hire you to take their photos :)

Thanks for sharing!

wow. nice shots. at first i didnt like the colors but as i kept looking at them, they really looks good. bigger samples would help. the only problem i see is on the second picture. maybe its the blood rush but the skin is red and junk. looks to noisy/soft focus. but i still like it a lot. all of them

LOL..he was holding his breath on that one.

thanks guys!

I haven't had the chance to get a fisheye. I'd like to try it though. How will the flash look with the fisheye? Will it be a hotspot in the middle or have a big vignetting effect due to the light falloff?

i second using fisheye for acts like that. but you risk to get a hit since you'd be close enough to dancer!

very nice, i'm a chicago hiphop head who's been around the bboying community for about 10 years now, most of my crew are bboys, so I'm allllllllllways taking bboying photos, loving these that you took! very nice!

How can the zoom = 35 when you were using the 10-22?

My flash was set to manual settings?

EDIT: you can control that flash head manually on a 430EX flash.

Thanks man. I only started last year ever since I started bboying as well. But the people I've met are pretty cool. So I'm gonna keep doing these. This summer I want to get a couple of crews together and do a photoshoot of them. I just need to find an interesting setting.
