does anyone have any idea why i CAN'T open my pix taken in RAW in PHOTOSHOP CS2? i'm using a card reader and when i try to open the pix i get an error message.:confused: it's getting very frustrating..........

What camera? Older versions can't open newer raws.

I'm guessing that sadatk is probably right and you either have to upgrade your version of photoshop in order to use the latest version of ACR, get Lightroom which also uses the same RAW engine or you can download the latest DNG converter (http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/).

Your Canon camera probably comes with a RAW editor called Digital Photo Professional. Install it first and then go to Canon's website to update it to the latest version, v3.3. Another free RAW alternative is RawTherapee.

In all likelihood you will need to upgrade your Adobe Camera RAW plug-in to version 3.7.

What error message are you getting?
