Calumet Came Through: New Genesis Caps

Ask and ye shall receive (sometimes). If your Calumet Genesis monolights came with undersized protective caps that are too short to be used when the modeling light bulbs are installed, do yourself a favor and give Calumet a call. In response to my gripes many weeks ago, Calumet sent me a set of new, improved caps at no cost to me. Here's a shot of the new cap on the left and the original on the right:

OK, I called and explained that I had previously purchased the 200 Ws 2 light kit and asked about getting the larger caps. The person I spoke to said that there was no such thing. So I send him an email with a link to this thread while we are on the phone. He does not receive the email right away so I leave my phone number as well. A little while later I receive an email response (no call) with a part number and quote of $12.99 each:

if they won't send you new caps and you can still return your lights I would threaten to return the whole kit, they might reconsider then.
