...I miss my eye control (I didn' realise how much I used it until it was gone), I have ended up locking in the centre focus point, focusing and recomposing (just like the good old days of single focus points!) and I really wish I could slow down rapid fire, two speeds would be nice :)

Apart from those two very minor things that I can live with, and learning a new menu system (only a temporary issue) I think this camera will last me many years to come!

The image quality and speed are absolutely terrific, even my wife agrees the images have something that was lacking from our previous compact digicams (not that is saying something :lol: )

Set the custom function to allow AF Point control with the little joystick.
It's almost as good!

I had one of the first canon camcorders (still have it but don't use it) that had eye control. Never thought it worked well.

I found it worked well for me on the EOS30, apparantly it depends on the shape of your eye, works better for some than others. Also you need to put some time into calibrating it. On the 30, every time you calibrated it, it got better.
