I am doing an assignment and have been asked to do the following to the pictures before submitting my assignment "Each photograph should be reduced to about 6” x 4” 300 dpi.and saved as a low-resolution jpeg of about 100K"
I havent got a clue - please help
I have a Canon 4000D and plan to use the software that comes with the camera
I would be most grateful for some pointers and guidance
Thank you in anticipation

What software are you using?

If you have PhotoShop of any kind, just upload the image, go to the tool bar on the top of the screen and click IMAGE. Then resize, giving it 300 dpi and then 4 or 6 inches for the width or height. The software will adjust. If you need to crop, do that first. Then save it as a JPEG file with low resolution. That's it!

I havent used photoshop or any software before, to be honest. Just use what comes out the camera. I had planned to use the software that comes with the camera and is loaded up to the machine to enable the downloading of pictures from the camera chip (excuse my non-techie attempt at descriptions!!). I will try photoshop which I think, is on our laptop and see what I come up with
Thank you - most appreciated!
