My batteries finally died so i need to charge em up, i hooked up both batteries to my charger and one of the sides i get a constant charging light, the other sidei get a flash and nothing.
Now, i switched the batteries to see if maybe a battery was toast but it was doing the same thing. I just bought new batteries and hooked up two new uncharged batteries to it and still same thing.
I read the manual but it does not say anything about trickle charging one battery @ a time, etc. Is there an issue with the charger or is this normal even tho it doesnt sound right??(the 2nd battery will charge when the first one is done type of thing)

thanks

The manual (http://www.moonglade.net/~rene/manualNCE2.jpg) as a jpg ;)

Batteries load one at a time.

Like René said...only one battery at a time will charge. You can condition both at once though.

Is it a Canon battery or an after-market model? The connections to the non-Canon batteries don't seem to be real good...I have one that I have to play with all the time to get it connected right. Frequently it will get bumped or something and you find both the charge and the refresh lights blinking. That can also occur if the battery tries to charge too fast and gets overly hot. Unplug the charger from the battery and then plug it back in. It should begin charging normally again. If it continues to get errors...do a complete discharge cycle on it...that seems to help.

That is the one big downside of the aftermarket batteries. None of them have a real good fit.
