Folks

This shot was taken at a local Wildlife Reserve. I have tried to capture the full landing of this bird so have cropped in a letter box style

1/200 Sec
F5.6
iso 200

Taken at the 400mm end of my 100 - 400 lens

Tell me your thoughts ? what could i have done better or what do you like about it.

Thanks
Nigel

I like the composition.....
The bird is a little over exposed and the water is just the opposite....
other than that I like it!
nice shot

The big problem is - he is at the edge of the frame and has nowhere to go. Now I know that you are in love with the "Landing Trail" behind him, and I would be too. (I have about 100 similarly structured shots and I always loudly protest, "But it tells the story of a journey!") But trust me on this, a crop giving him more room to move into would be a much better balanced shot.

Folks

Many thanks for your feedback and taking the time to look at my picture. I will take on board your comments and rethink the photo/composition.

Cheers :)
