Hi I just bought online the Canon Eye Piece Extender EP-EX15 cause i wear glasses and lot of people recommend this accesories for glasses weare like me,
and also to prevent my nose poking the LCD screen.
anyway i bought it online cause lots of store in my area doesn;t have the stock.

it arrived to day and while i'm ecxited to put it on my 2 weeks old 450D , to my horror, it can't be fitted !!!
i thought it supposed to work with all EOS Digital camera ?
and i saw it on the net that people says it fits loosely but in my 450D when i force to put it on, it only fit about halfway and it's very very hard !

can somebody give me advice , or maybe mine is conterfeit ?
but when i saw the piece it's built quality is good so i don't think this is fake :(

thx

Hi 10-Dee-Q, The EP-EX15 will not fit the 450D, the correct eye piece is a EP-EX15II.

See if you can exchange for the right eyepiece. Better yet, simply try to get a refund, as you will find that the eyepiece extenders make your viewfinder image EVEN SMALLER than it already is!

I advise you to get a refund if you can. I wear glasses, too. I found out it fall off to easily and makes images harder to see. It's one of those accessories that I wish I never bought.

You can with a small screwdriver, i did this and its much better than the normal eye finder. :)

I got hold of Canon South Africa this week, the EP-X15II will only be availble in about 6 weeks time, this is only for the South African market, I can't comment on other regions, but it could be similar.
