I got this lense about 2 months ago, so by no means consider me any good with it, however, with a 400d and 100-300 f4 i took these: (just a random selection, more at my smugmug)

Ive just got my 40d and its helped with the slight back focusing issue i had on the 400d, will post some of them later.

Found the 100-300 f4 to be an excellent lense, only criticism is its not 400mm, otherwise it would be a contender to the 100-400.
