Just looking for your comments, taken with my A80 on a trip to Rotorua at the end of last summer.

I liked the intial shot, especialy the concept, but did a fair amount of PS work to get it to this final stage:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Moppie/IMG_1615small.jpg

which I had printed on 4x6 at a local shop. Its now hanging on my wall on a white matt in a dark wooden fram. I like it (the important bit) but was wondering what others thought of the final product (excluding the framing).
Its the first photo Iv really felt I wanted to display in my home, although its not the first Iv had printed and framed.

Heres the orginal for comparisons:

I applied a small amount of USM after resizing.

note: If anyone would like to have a play with it Ill gladly send you the orginal high res file.

Just a Quick Look and I think that this shot just begs to be rendered in high contrast monochrome. Take a look at my "Dark Clouds Rising" post. If you like the treatment, if you think that it would look good in this shot, then hop over to www.fredmiranda.com and check out his B&W Workflow Pro.

Personally, I think it would be great as a mono shot.

Ya know what, EM me the file, Radtech1@adelphia.net, and I will give it a go.

Its on its way!
Cheers mate.

I orginaly tried B&W when I first started playing with it, but couldn't find enough contrast. Im sure its there if you look deep enough :)

In the printed version I did quite a bit, you should see it on the final image, I even layed, resized and streached the clouds and put them over the water with a very low opacity.

I just changed the link as well, got a proper 800x600 of the printed version to display 8)

The only thing I would have done different was gotten rid of that redish orange square (buoy?) that is off to the left of the dock. It distracts me ;)

Sorry, I couldnt do anything with it as there was too much noise on the red channel, which is the one that you push to get that high contrast sky.
