Just wondering what your opinions are? Anyone compare actually prints from each side by side?
Some of the reviews I have found say the 4000 prints are better.
The 5000 has the # advantage....better DPI etc.
I am still new to the digi world. Just looking for a good quality printer for everday stuff. I will have a lab do the big/very high quality stuff.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I've got the IP5000 and am very happy with it. Before buying it I went to a CompUSA when they had a Canon rep there just for the printers. He took a pic of me in the store with his Canon point and shoot, and printed out of the printers using a USB cable to a 4x6 sheet of Canon Photo paper. I compared the IP5000 to the IP8500 and i960.

Although testing the printer at 4x6 is not the best, I was able to see differences in the colors and from really looking close at lettering in the background, the IP5000 looked a tad sharper as far as resolution between these printers.

I hope that helps somewhat.
