I am offering an Image Hosting Service at www.CoolBrowse.com and am looking for beta-testers. If anybody is interested to help test the stability of the service, please sign up for a free account and drop me a PM here with your CoolBrowse account ID. I will upgrade your account to a Platinum account for free for 3 months, which is worth $24.95 - after the trial the account will revert to a free account unless you are happy and choose to continue.

You will not be charged anything whatsoever, and there is no need to supply your credit card at any step. I am sincere about testing out the service (and server) and trust that members here represent the best population sample. I thank you in advance for the help.

New features will be continually added to improve the service, and I would greatly appreciate constructive comments, sweet bouquets and gentle brickbats: What are your favorite features of www.CoolBrowse.com? Which features do you not care for? What other functionalities would you wish to have? Is it too expensive?...

Hi Andrew,
Just visited the site & my first impression is that I'd like to have been able to see the styles available for the finished galleries, but I didn't see a link.

Second, I wonder if you've given any thought to allowing people to upload their own gallery?
For example, by using something like JAlbum?

FYI
http://jalbum.net/ will generate thumbnails, build your webpages and link to either the original files or resized copies, then upload to the host server for you. Just point it to the directory where your files are located and choose an output directory. Very easy to use. And it's free. Lots of different page designs, too.
I like the "Vertical" skin with the Black.css "Style" for a clean album that doesn't get between your work & the viewer.

You can also order the images without worrying about the file names or dates. Press the edit button in the image ordering section. You will then see a text editor pop up with each image on its own row. Just rearrange the images and save, then generate an album again. Only downside is that you'll have to do that for each folder if you have a multi folder web.

Thanks for offering this service. I'll try to take advantage of it in the next week.

Hi Maple I just signed up under the username davisn. I can't confirm my email address till I get home since my office blocks all external email accounts. If you are still doing the testing I would be glad to help out!
