I've had a Canon Pro9000 printer for about six months and am very pleased with the print quality. Favorite paper is Ilford Smooth Pearl. Upgraded my laptop computer and needed to move from Windows XP to Vista (business). Needed to load new print drivers for the Pro9000 and for Easy Photo Print Pro for Photoshop CS3.
Curious if anyone else has seen the same changes that I have:
1) Every time I go to print the printer goes through more "actions" before it will actually feed the paper in and begin to print. Behaves almost like it is cleaning the print heads (Well, that's what it sounds like.) Anyone had anything like this happen? Any suggestions?
2) I believe that there is more ink left in the print cartridges when the printer automatically shuts down and tells me that the cartridge is empty. On the side of the ink tank that is filled with some material that looks like cotton, there is usually ink left about one third the height of the cartridge. Is there any way to adjust this setting?
