Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here could recommend some online tutorials on photographic concepts for newbies.

What I'd relly love would be some resource that gave an outline of each concept, then also suggested some shots that would illustrate each concept in action... do I make sense?? I just want to spend some time doing (semi-directed) shots to get me familiar with which settings will acheive which effect.

I've already been directed to www.shortcourses.com which had some great stuff.

Thanks :)

I went to my local Barnes and Nobles and they had an amazing amount of digital photography books (usualy cost $50-70) on clearenc. I got a very good one for $7 brand new and it is great.
