I've searched but kind find any info anywhere...
What is the difference between the US and EU Pocketwizards?
I doubt you could mix and match the two in your collection.
does anyone know if I could use the US version in Australia without opening garage doors every time I pressed the shutter?

Haha. You can't use them together, no. You would have to check out the specs on them, but I think you should be ok to use them here. I have the EU ones and they work great, that's that you're supposed to use over here anyway....

I know if I walked into a camera store here in Sydney they'd only stock the EU version, but what if I wanted to buy the US version from B&H and have it sent over?
I just don't want planes falling out of the sky because I decide to shoot

Here is your reason. U.S. verions use a frequency of 344Mhz; while everywhere else uses frequency of 433.62Mhz. Something with that FCC stuff. Also, keep this in mind when buying those "fancy" sekonic light meters that are chipped for pocket wizards.

OK, i was going to ask a different question but very similar to this question
I've got my PW from B&H so it is US version then, but i bought my sekonic light meter from a local store here, and i suppose it is EU version i think, so is that meaning my light meter can't work with my PW? if so does that mean i have to buy another PW for my light meter?

That is correct, an EU Sekonic light meter is not going to be able to trigger US PW units. I'm guessing you should be able to buy a US Tx module for the light meter but I can't say for sure. A call to the Sekonic customer service might get you a definite answer.
