maybe a bit of rotation to straighten out the horizon. and perhaps try adding a hue/saturation adjustment layer with a subtle saturation boost and set the blending mode of that layer to "soft light".

How do you learn to do those types of things? I read that and know more or less what you're talking about, but I don't know how. Someone recommended a book called "photoshop for photographers", would that help?
