hello everyone,

I pretty much only use my camera for architecture photography and looking for some indoor lighting solutions.

could you guys suggest some set-ups that would give me the biggest bang for the buck?

Well, I use 3-4 flashguns, the strobist way (off camera), and it works wonders. Go see www.strobist.com, and also search for Scott Hargis on the flickr groups. He uses only flashguns in his pictures, and they are awesome.
