5 pics for your eyes to cast over. C&C welcome. This was the first outing with the new 40D. All went well until the AF stopped working on the 100-400

Nice catch on the last one. I really wouldn't fancy going that deep into a tyre wall in a Radical. I bet there's a tread marks on his lid ;)

he certainly did hit it hard.... went off at full pelt, no spin, no breaking on the grass, and one almightly loud thud!! The metal barrier behind the tyres took a punishing too - so much so the marshalls had to use a sledge hammer to bash it back into shape!

Why do people put that? To show how good they are straight out of the camera? An excuse if someone questions the cropping or colours etc? Surely if you are going to post on a forum you want your images to look at their best. Just wondered.

Mine has done that occasionally too. Usually turning the camera off and on, or taking the lens off then on again got it working again. Excellent shots, by the way. Tack sharp and well exposed. It's easy to blow out the highlights on those white cars.

These look good. I haven't been to Snetterton for a very long time... I might trundle up there for the HSCC 3 hour race.
As to the 100-400L, how can you even suggest that it might be less than perfect? It'll be the stake for you if they hear that kind of talk over in "lenses"

CHeers fella. I have been very impressed with the 100-400L. Suffers a little in low light but its a small sacrifice for the performance in average to good light.
