Delkin Devices Sensor Scope Cleaning Kit (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/475244-REG/Delkin_Devices_DDSSSCOPE_Sensor_Scope_Cleaning_Kit .html)
Unless you have a better way of cleaning the Sensor that I can try?
Thanks,

I agree with Woolburr. The Arctic Butterfly, if not used with extreme care, can transfer oil to the sensor, leaving you worse off than when you started.

Rocketblower has always worked out great for me.
Guess I have been lucky and never had any really hard stuck on dust.
IMO those artic butterfly kits are insanely overpriced for just a brush and magnifying glass...

$10 Nikon lens pen and compressed air from my compressor (with three stage dryer). The compressor is also equipped with a regulator and I set it at no more than 20 PSI before undertaking cleaning.

Compressed air (dried or not) is not recommended simply because the force behind it can do more damage than good. More power isn't always the answer. The rocket blower provides more than ample force for removing any loose debris from the camera interior...the stuff that doesn't come off with the blower is typically lubricant from the shutter...you need a lenspen or a wet clean to remove that.

scratch all the above.... you can use photosol swabs and pay a fortune... or save money and do what others have said COPPERHILL save the cash and use them! he advocates cutting the pecpads now with new sharp scissors into quarters... i used photosol swabs but got so so results...swicthed to copperhill and his slightly stiffer swab makes it so much easier for the inevitable "welded" on dust.

I use the wet swabs & cleaner, no chance of a brush getting dirty since they are all disposable.

I use Sensor Swabs and Eclipse 2 solution. It's saved me a lot of heartache. That 5D sensor needs blowing out between swabs, though.

Thanks everyone for your replies....
Has anyone ever used the SensorSweep and SensorView (http://www.copperhillimages.com/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=50), is it worth it?
Or just get the swabs and SensorView (http://www.copperhillimages.com/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=47)
I just want to make sure to get all dust bunnies.....
Thanks,
Angel

I just cleaned my 30D Sunday with Sensor Swabs and Eclipse solution. I was pleased with the results. The Rocket Blower just couldn't get the stuck stuff.

1) Rocket blower
if that doesn't do it then
2) Lenspen sensorklear
3) Last resort Sensor swabs with Eclipse
Haven't had to go beyond that.

The very well documented problem with any and all of the brush systems is when you encounter lubricant on the sensor....the brush just makes giant smears that are very difficult to remove.

Cool...
I need to first get a bigger
1) Rocket blower
if that doesn't do it then
2) Lenspen sensorklear
3) Last resort Sensor swabs with Eclipse
and hope not to go beyond that.......
Thanks,
Angel

People will be glad to sell you all kinds of crazy stuff that is supposed to clean up your sensor...but when the 3 you just listed have proven themselves time after time after time...Most of us stick with the stuff that works.

I had the most incredibly dirty 5D sensor and my friend helped me by using his sensor swabs and Eclipse 2 and I ordered from Amazon right away and had to do it again 2 times to get the stuff off. But I didn't have to send it in and shot the wedding the next weekend, but there were 3 dust bunnies still in the blue sky. :(

I happen to have a regulator which permits me to vary the pressure from 1 psi. to 140 psi. That in fact is a lot more precise then a rocket blower ;). But I might add I do have a little one with me when I travel for my older bodies. The MKIII's internal system so far has done a good job.
The fact that you can regulate air pressure from your compressor was never mentioned in your original post. While you know and I know that it is possible to regulate the pressure, someone just scanning through the threads only sees that a long-time forum member is saying he uses an air compressor to clean his camera and rushes right out to give it a try. They snap on the blow gun and give it a blast of 120 psi non-dry air...causing massive damage and an expensive repair.
There is little or no chance of an individual doing damage to their camera with a puff of air from a rocket blower...while a blast of air from a compressor or a can of air can do serious harm. As responsible forum members, we need to make sure that our responses are crystal clear in both their intent and content. We both know that you were never advocating anyone putting their gear at risk, and yet your response could be misconstrued by the casual reader, with catastrophic results. Certainly, none of us wish to see that happen.

Point taken. It was a oversight. I have edited my original post.

How about this one?
Lenspen SSK-1 Sensor Klear Pro Cleaning Kit for CCD & CMOS Sensors (http://www.adorama.com/CPSKK.html)
Looks like it has everything but the liquid.

I use Copperhill. Once you've done a wet clean, and find out it's not hard at all, you'll continue doing it when needed. Rocket blower first, if that don't get it, the Copperhill swab.

That is the one I use...not a bad price either, since the individual Sensor Klears are $19 a pop.

Thanks everyone, I just bought a bigger Rocket Air and got most of the Dust Bunnies off...
But there are still the Spider Bunnies that don't want to come off, so I have to take the next step...
Thanks,

For my 5D I use Sensor Swabs/Eclipse 2/Rocket Blower. Unfortunately my problem here in Belize is not just dust & hairs, but the atmosphere is full of salt and quite greasy substances. I find myself having to use a solvent (Eclipse 2) on my sensor at least every month even if I'm not seeing any specific marks on pictures, as there's an overall dulling form deposited salts & oils. I use the rocket blower to clean out dust & hairs, but it's not enough.
It's so bad here I now never change lenses away from home, regardless of the picture I'm losing.

Really - I didn't know that. Is this during the warranty period? I got a refurb 30D today from Adorama and the sensor has dust.

You have to drop the camera off and pick it up in person at either the Canon NJ or CA facilities.

Awesome thread! I just picked up a 12 pack of Sensor Swaps Type 3, a 2oz bottle of Eclipse E2, and a LensPen Sensor Klear from Adorama for $63 OTD. Now I can get rid of those horrible specs on my 5D that show up oh so ugly when using my MP-E 65 at 5X and f/16!
