Any body want to suggest a home photo printer. I'm in the market for a new one, but have a budget. Not to strict of a budget, but dont want to over buy. It will not really be used to sell from. But still want the best IQ I can get withing reason. Most prints will be used for personal reasons. However a few may be sold.
Any thoughts???

Up to what size prints are you wanting?

Probably 8X10 max. If bigger, for not much more is OK. But I don't see me making anything bigger than 8X10 at home.

I have an HP Photosmart D7360. It was $100. Has a 3.2" LCD screen, card reader, but best of all, the ink is cheap. If you would mostly be doing 4 x 6's, you can get a pack of all the inks plus 100 4 x 6 sheets of photo paper for $35.
Downsides. You cannot download a printer profile for this printer. It is kinda big.
But overall, I like it. If you are just looking for a good home printer, give it a look.

I am a Epson guy. You can pick up a Epson r280 for $99 and it is a great little printer, 100 pack of 4x6 Epson glossy paper is only $19 and usually can catch it on sale for $13-$15. You cna also print directly on cds/dvd's.
Given that I would suggest something a tad more on the up side like the epson 1400 13inch printer. it iwll give you more options for printing 10x13 or 11x14 etc. You can get it for around $299 give or take. Epson has a nice choice of papers from matte to canvas, to fine art that is just amazing.

I also recommend Epson printers, and i will choose Epson R1400 or R1900 for you, R2400 is a great choice but it is little pricey for you i think, so get either R1400 or R1900 and you will not regret any.

I used to use Epson; Epson Color Stylus, Epson Photo Stylus 1280... The last one was just falling apart and never produced consistent, reliable color and both of them were WAY overpriced on cartridges. So much so I ended up getting a CIS for the 1280 - which was a whole new set of problems. Enough.
I just bought a Canon PIXMA Pro9000 (which may be overkill for you) and I couldn't be happier. It's fast, accurate, reliable and the prints are outstanding.

So far I think I have narrowed it down to Canon or Epson. So Im glad to hear thoes suggested. My budget is really quality to the dollar spent. I dont really have a max Ill spend.( within reason) But by the size I think will keep the price down. I just dont need a $3000 printer to print 3 images a month...
Ill lookingtothe models suggested.
