I have a Velbon 530 tripod with a pan head. Hate those levers sticking out everywhere. I have a Canon 5d that I have to screw onto the tripod. Hate that part too. Will a Bogen 488RC fit on my tripod? If I get that, is everything there that I need to have my camera be quick release or is there ANOTHER piece I have to buy? I thought that would be all, but something I saw made me think I would also have to buy a quick release plate for the camera. Thanks, I'd like to get something ordered asap.

The head I would recommend is the Manfrotto 488RC2, along with additional quick-release plates for any other cameras or lenses you would want to mount to the tripod. The 488RC2 comes with one quick-release plate. Additional QR plates cost about $11 (US) each.
