I may have composed it ever so slightly lower as to get some more of the street in the bottom of the frame and less sky since the sky is just gray. It would also be nice to see more detail in the apartments. Other than than that I think it's a nice shot.

Thanks. I didn't have alot of time, this was taken from dodger stadium after taking my 6 month old to his first game, and i had the Girlfriend and my son in the car waiting, but i had to get at least a couple of shots real quick since i am usually too busy to get out and shoot and night.

Well with all of that going on around you I would say you have a good eye. I would have been way too distracted.

Nicely composed. I like the tease of street in the bottom. It adds another layer of buildup to LA's gorgeous skyline.

Nice composition, plus I love the splashes of color from the building signs.
(How did you bring your 6-month-old to a baseball game? Neither our 3-year-old nor our 9-month-old would make it!)

well i am lucky enough to get my hands on the $500 Dugout seats every once in a while so there was plenty of room and there is the nice climate controlled club area to retreat to. and the boy loves being outside, doesn't matter where. He did get a bit fussy cuz he was tired, but i just laid him down and he let him take a nap.
thanks for the comments everyone. Hopefully I'll get another crack at it when i have time to hang out and take my time.

I think it is an excellent capture. Now if there were a lone person silhouetted at the bottom street, that would be awesome.

I like the lone person idea. next time i get a chance i will try a few different thing, and there are a couple other locations i have ideas for but i'll have to do some scouting to see whats going to work, and what i get access to.

I totally agree.
(But,again, as explained later in the thread, he did quite well under the circumstances.)

James: If you find a good place to print it as a poster, do you mind letting me know? I'm in Pomona area, and not sure where to get a good nice print.
