My first shoot at a premiership game, from the stands, gotta be careful that the stewards don't see your camera!
Had to turn ISO up to 640, so the images are a bit noisy.

Thats a bit harsh mate.
Had these have been taken from a side/goal line position they probably would be quite good. Timing is spot on.

Leave it to the pro's mate!
Why on earth did you need to say that?
What is the difference between a pro and him? As far as I am concerned he has every right to take pictures, and if everyone just left it to the pro's what would happen when the pro's retire? Photography stops?
Everybody has to practice to get good, and now assuming you think you are the bee's knee's did you start off that way, no?
Regarding your shots, I think they are quite good considering the conditions, well timed and well executed. Well done, and dont listen to the negative comments, unless they have really constructive criticism.

Givin the situation and what you had to work with they aren't all that bad. Little blurry but you can still work with them. Keep at it and keep posting.

I know it feels 'better' to post images of proper players we'd all recognise but if you're looking to hone your skills, find your local amateur team, get in touch with them and hit their sidelines. You're obviously adept at catching the right moments, all you need now is the opportunity to get closer to the action (or be able to sneak a 600mm f4l past a sleeping steward!). :)
