I have a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS Digital Elph camera and it seems as if the slightest movement causes the picture to be blurry. Any advice on a/some setting I can adjust this camera to to take nice clean sharp pictures?

please refer to the camera's manual under the section: Image Stabilizer(IS); how to turn it on!

Can you post an example or two, with shooting (EXIF) data? You can see this data in Zoom Browser or most other photo viewing probrams.

+1
or it could just be you're shooting with shaky hands and the IS is off.

There is still another possibility besides not having the IS turned on. When you press the shutter button, the picture is not taken instantaneously. There is a brief lag while the lens is automatically focussing followed by another brief shutter lag. So, it is possible that you may be moving the camera (or the subject may move) immediately after you press the button all the way down but before the picture has actually been taken. You can reduce this by first focussing with the button held halfway down, and then press the button the rest of the way down to take your picture.
