I am going to see the Giants play in San Fran and would like to know if they have any restrictions on the size of the Lens you can bring into the stadium. I know the bag cannot be more then 16x16x8 but the website doesn't say anything about lens length.. I have a 2.8 200mm L with a 2X extender. This should have plenty of reach for the game ?? Also going to the red bull air races this weekend so i hope the airplanes fly sort of close to the crowd and that lens should work out great. Any tips on airshows or baseball games ?

Can't have DSLR or a backpack on you.
Just a digi cam allowed.

What?? By what authority can you say this? Do you work for the Giants or AT&T Park?
The Giants' web site specifically says
CAMERAS & VIDEO EQUIPMENT
Cameras and video equipment are allowed in AT&T Park, but the equipment may not obstruct the view or path of others. Fans are not allowed to reproduce or rebroadcast any film or videotape of Giants games for commercial purposes without the written permission of the Giants and Major League Baseball.
BAGS, CONTAINERS & COOLERS
Large bags measuring OVER 16x16x8 are NOT allowed into the ballpark. All permitted bags including purses, briefcases, and diaper bags (smaller than 16x16x8 ) will be searched before entering the park. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and to allow additional time when entering the park. Per MLB guidelines, NO HARD SIDED (soft sided OK) coolers will be allowed. (Lil Oscar's, Coleman lunch style included.)
As has been said hundreds of times on this forum, it doesn't matter what anyone here tells you - the only authority in these matters are the teams and the stadium security folks. The quotes above make it seem like, if you can fit it in a 16x16x8 bag, then you can bring it in. This is pretty common, as I have seen it at several MLB parks. If you're in doubt, call the park at 415-972-2000.
