I shot this first one last weekend and I thought it captured a "friendly" moment between a Forward and a Keeper...

This one was from last year when our Outside-Mid was "kindly" asking for the Defender to attempt....anything...

This was from my clubs home show last night. Feels weird being photographing the action instead of being photographed

I like the idea of shots like these, but isn't taunting or intimidating an opponent illegal? the player doing the taunting or intimidating will get a warning from the official.

Yeah... In the OPs first post, Speaking as a Soccer Official...
Not going to do anything with the first one, unless some inappropriate words are exchanged.
The SECOND ONE... No words needed, that young man would see a caution from me...

The goalie should have given that kid in the first shot an elbow and the kid in the second shot is probbaly the same guy who will lay on the ground for 10 minutes after he gets run over by another player.....

I disagree the striker in the op's first shot has his chest on the goalie. when the goalie has control of the ball no one should ever make physical contact with him because its nothing but a means of trying to intimidate him, i would caution that before the 2nd shot

I hope this one was not as painful as it looks.
Is this the Manatee's that is Triple A (or was it Double A; I forget) in FL? If so, my uncle used to play for them when they were a Marlins farm club.

No. Actually, while it looks really bad, the ball is actually going away, not coming in. The player in red is my son and he had just cleared that ball away.
He is actually looking at the player because he is trying to avoid kicking him. He wound up somewhat straddling his oponnent's right shoulder... But the photo looks pretty wicked!

Agreed... I just assumed that the attacking player had probably just completed a run which ended when the keeper picked up the ball. My assumption is that the contact and look came not after a calculated stroll of intimidation, but rather in a contact of natural happening while playing the game.

I'm sure it hurt -- the second baseman left the game immediately with a rather nasty wound to his hand and one finger. The cleats slashed him on the back of his hand where the glove is open. These are the Florida State League Brevard County Manatees, High A farm team of the Milwaukee Brewers. There are no AAA teams in Florida and only one AA team. I think these Manatees were once a Marlins farm team but they were probably High A then too.
