G9 or G6

You guys got me nervous now, when i showed these comments to my brother in law about the G9 he offered to swap me for his 3 year old G6, considering all the hype about the G9 and dust, am i being silly or not:oops:

No offense, but yes, you are being silly. There is no dust issue with the G9. Even if there was, you would find the same thing on your brother in law's G6 or any G-Series, or most any P&S camera, because most of them have extending lenses of similar design. Do you think any small, inexpensive P&S camera is dust-sealed?

Why would you be worried?
Someone posted something they had read on the 'net (the acknowledged fountain of truth LOL) and 14 people respond, not one of which confirms they've had the problem with their G9.
I don't get it....

Yeah, keep buying g9´s and maybe the money you pay for it helps canon to finace a G10 with better lens
