yeah, grain haven right here...haha...but thats why we dont shoot from the stands indoors with the f4 now isnt it? lol

I got bored and tried to replicate some slight cross processing in the pictures to sort of add a little style to go with the grain, so the color values vary with each one...just me entertaining myself mostly

I mostly took crowd shots since I didnt have a really great court angle, but here are a few from the court

01. my friends...and some band geeks

Not a bad bunch of shots given the circumstances. Is that the f4 70-200L that you are using when you say "with the f4"? I ask because I am thinking about that lens. The thing that I noticed second off is the seeming wide depth of focus. Even as "small" as f4 I would have expected more bokeh on the crowd in the background. It this an accurate sample of the lens. Were you mostly on the 200 end or the 70 end?

As far as the shots go, it seems as though they all have various strenghts of a cyan cast to them, especially in the skin tones. If you were to put time into them, that is the direction I would think to go.

I really like the expressions in #3, too bad the other player and ref are just behind them.

#5 would make a nice crop. The fact that the opposing player is looking (nearly) into your camera helps to involve the viewer in the shot. Keep your eye out for more oppertunities like this, and perhaps zoom closer.

All in all, not bad - and showing great potential.
