Took some shots last night...40D with 70-200L 2.8, monopod for most. Appreciate any CC.
I'm still trying to learn how to do good posters...appreciate any good suggestions re: creating posters (13 x 19).
Thx

I like #1. Wish there was more light in the face/eyes.
#2 would have been better if moment earlier. But I don't have any experience shooting track.

If you're using the 70-200mm, you should try to ditch the monopod - you'll be more flexible in reacting quickly, come what may.
Good shots though. :)

id never have a monopod for athletics events, the movement patterns we move through differ to much to use a monopod unluss you have a 400+ prime on and can track the individual from a long way away.
for events like the LJ and pole vault id say that a monopod will deffo hinder you.

#1 is awesome. #2 is a bit soft. I guess it might be the exposure problem under the harsh sunlight..
