a well known magazine has asked me for 8 photos of a celebrity that i took. now i met (the person requesting photos) about a week ago while i was at a bar and we exchanged cards and they contacted me.

now i know that time is of the essence, they are gone for the day until tomorrow.

1--what size are generally required when sending to a magazine for online usage?
2--what size is considered "high res" because i initially stated they would be high-res but i dont know if that's a universal "size"

thanks i would like to have everything done by open of business day tomorrow morning i could use some help on the two questions.

thanks.

Hi Grey goose.

usually print is 300dpi and most quality images or expected not to be cropped in too much - around a 6mb file is avg ..

but it depends on the photos, and the magazine - if you've got a scoop then a 1mb from a 1999 mobile phone will be more then good enough - the magazine should provide you with the required info.

Nice answer, but you're almost 2 months too late replying there.

I didn't see this thread before, but even if 2 months old, someone else might need this info once in future. OP probably got his answer somewhere else already :)
Standard for wire is still somewhere between 2000 and 2500pix on longest side. So anything around this size is perfectly fine. If magazine has some different preferences, they will tell this before, but until now, I (nor agency I work for) never had problems with this size.
