I took some pictures at my friends' wedding this past weekend. I took this picture of the bride while she and her new husband were waiting to be announced to the reception. He was speaking with somebody and she looked to be in deep thought. I saw it as an opportunity for a photo. This was my favorite one from the party because it was totally candid.

There was no enhancing except for cropping the pic to get her more centered.

Thank you, in advance, for your critiques.

hi mark

personally. i like this candid picture very much. in its artistic form.
i know some might not like it but its your interpretation. after all it was candid.

i think though you coulda made it a bit sharper in post processing using unshark mask and just a tad bit strengthen the colors.

it might not be the best shot but it would stand out pretty well to those who aren't into photography.

my .02 cents

I like it. I think it might be a little better if you were positioned a little lower when shooting and you should definitely bump the saturation, do some USM, and play with curves to tweak the colors.... I think its a good shot. The only thing that really bothers me about this shot is the door frame that divides her arm from the rest of her body.

Berto, Daniel -

Thank you for your replies. I tried bumping up the saturation. I also cropped it to frame her better so the doorway isn't much of a distraction . . . do u think it's improved?

Definitely better. It looks like there is some noise now though. Its hard to tell from this jpg, but a little noise removal might be good. The skin tone looks better than before, but maybe a little too much red now. ?
