Ok I'm throwing these out here to get some C&C. One of the best ways to learn and expand skillsets is through the eyes of others. Please share your thoughts!!!

Thanks in advance!

#1 is so neat. I like the layout and the composition and the lighting is not bad. However, while the lighting is optimum for the subjects, it is too bright on the carpet. The least you will have to do is to tone down the brightness of the carpet in order to keep the viewer looking at the areas where you want him to look.

In #2, it's a somewhat busy background and the bride has a less than charming expression. I also think that a perspective looking directly into an armpit is a less than optimum choice.

Agree with Bob on this.the tile is hot.....but the pose is extra sweet! Tone the center down and thats a canvas piece.

#2.She is trying too hard for a sexy shot....

I think #1 is fantastic. I'm torn on the cityscape though. I suspect it distracts me. I took the liberty of darkening it up, and burning in the tile a little. Makes it a wall-piece at that point, IMHO.

In No. 1, I like the exposure and pose, but I would have liked the arch "framing" the bride and groom. It's just a personal preference and I admit that it would be hard to get the Groom looking right against that dark background.

No. 2. The background could be more out of focus and the post could be less 'growing' out of the bride's head!

I'm still pretty new to portraiture, but one thing I've learned is to pay particular attention to the background.
