There was a public safety demonstration at a local high school recently, and I took some photos of the event. The demonstration was a mock vehicle crash, called Ghost Out, and was designed to show the high school students the dangers of drinking and driving with as real a scenario as possible.

I was messing around with Aperture 2.1 this evening, and this was one of the photos I processed. It is an image of one of the firefighters putting away the Hurst Tools.

Comments appreciated, especially with regards to the processing, which was just some basics (recovery, selective saturation, etc.).

It's a nice, clean, clear image of...?

IOW, It doesn't really have something to hook the viewer.

Unless you're a firefighter, a Hurst dealer or you, without the backstory, one wouldn't have the foggiest notion what is gong on here.

Good point. I have other images, of course, but none that I have messed with in Aperture at the moment. Other images would help tell a story, so I need to get processing...

Agreed. I'm sure in a photo essay setting, this would work much better.

It's definately a well exposed and framed image though! :)

Thanks for the comments about framing, etc. I'm still tinkering with Aperture at the moment after using Lightroom for a year.
