I'm in the macro section looking at people's setups http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142566&page=3 is the thread anywho I get to post number 43 and the tripod looks really familiar but it goes supper low the the ground. I look over at mine and back at the pic. I go over click the silver tabs on the legs and spread them out even wider. I then smack myself in the forehead. It so pays to read these threads oh and RTFM.

yeah thats very true, lots of great info on here. i learned a heap about flash and lighting on here.

by the way. just in case you didn't know, you can link to a single post rather than "page 3"
just click the number of the post and copy the link, example
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2334907&postcount=43

have a great time on here learning more and enjoy the tripod.

This forum had done me more good than others. I picked up a lot of shooting tips within a year of learning, and would say there is much improvement.

It is awesome that everyone shares! Thanks for those who do so!

I just found out that I could store my 400D's battery cover inside my BG-E3 grip. Definitely did not RTFM when I bought it!

Experience has taught me that most problems are head slopers.

When a solurtion has eluded you for what seems like eons, then the answer is finally revealed, the first instinct is to thump/slap yourself on the forehead.

Over the years, my head has developed a definite slope.

Ohhh, I so concur ! Most manuals are written in like, super tiny font size, and hardly ever cover what you're lookig for .. :p

I too think forums are great .. specially this POTN place for us Canon guys .. ;)
Lets all take a moment and thank our gracious admins and moderators .. etc .. etc ..
They've really done a great job at not only maintaining this wonderful cyber space corner for us, but ..
it's always up and available when needed .. that's always a + :)

Thanks POTN for all that you folks do .. this bud's for you ! ;)

Lol, that's where I store the "emergency back-up" CF card, granted it's not the easiest access but you never know when you'll need it.
