Setting Zoom for Cutom Settings

I am tryng to set one of the custome settings for my new G9. I was wondering if it is possible to set the lens for 50mm or am I stuck with 35mm increments?

I am trying to do a couple of things. I have a 50mm external viewfinder to get around the issue wiht using the build in one with the Lensmate adapter. I am trying to simulate a my rangefinder with a 50mm lens. so I hve one C setting to color and the other B&W(personal quirk about not converting Color).

I'm pretty sure that the zoom setting is one of the parameters that can be saved to a custom setting. Have you tried yet?

Yes, That was not a problem. But I couldn't see a way to set the zoom to an exact mm. The best I could do was derive a conversion factor from the the actual lens mm and divide that into the base (35mm) then bump the zoom take a picture then convert the value from the exif data. I then figured out that 4 "bumps" was about 50mm. I just thought there had to be a better way. I read somewhere the G7 could be set exactly to a given zoom for the custom settings.
