Nice, but there seems to be a bit of a green tint to it.

Not seeing the green here, but I have been called insensitive.
Great shot.

Went back and tweaked it a little. For some reason sRGB off my laptop (which is calibrated) comes out looking like sh*t...

I really like the big military transports with the roof racks on the top:D:D. Seriously, that's a nice shot.

They needed some extra storage space so they added the roof rack...

It was a bit of a suprise. Somewhere in the back of my mind I think I knew the BAs were scheduled to do the flyover for the NASCAR race tonight (Saturday) but didn't expect to see FA at all... Thanks Much.
Good work!

I was going to start a Best of Fat Albert thread ..where you post your best two shots (being that she is one of the most photographed aircraft flying...) but then I realized, all mine suck!
I still want to do that, but I will have to hit lightroom up again with some older shots :)
again, nice work....one of the few times recently where I did not see the scanner bubble in the center escape hatch.

Hey you're right... I didn't even notice that.
Do the BAs have more than one "Fat Albert" airframe ?

Do the BAs have more than one "Fat Albert" airframe ?I believe they just have one. Those bubbles are easy to take in and out. Fits right into any of the three escape hatches on the top of the Herk, We always had one in our forward section (unless we were using some other equipment that they would fit to a regular escape hatch...like a newer satcom or of the like...
I do not understand why on earth they would have it in the center hatch...that one is a B### to get to...let alone to stay up there during a flight, they must have a special seat for that position. but again, why and how boggles my mind.
Anyone have pictures from the cargo section of fatty? I want to see that center hatch for her.
BTW :) I flew support for the thundercluckers a few times...and once they put a #11 on our plane :) though we lacked the sweet ass slick paint of either team.

After seeing this post of Fat Albert I was wondering if there was more than one also, that answers my question.
Lucky you to be able to have that opportunity.

Some of the UK aircraft have the "cupola" as you call the bubble, fitted to the forward escape hatch - I can vouch for the fact that you get a unique view from there!
Mind you I know what you're saying regards that particular hatch area, its right by the aileron booster pack, amongst other things, and normally you have to use a ladder to access it.
Yes, I'd like to see the arrangement for the guy looking out of that one. My photos show that there's someone in it during the the normal BA show where Albert does the RATO launch.
FA
PS I think a Fat Albert thread would be a cracking idea.
