Depends on how much stuff you want to lug around. You can easily get by without an extra lens, though. These two galleries were taken with a G3 (same wide angle equivalent as a G9):

Disney World vs. Disneyland, but same difference!

Scott, your gallery looks great. What sort of exposures were you using for the night shots and did you use a tripod? Particularly intersted as I bought my G9 to take to Florida later this year!

Thanks, Colin

Thanks, Colin. All the night shots were taken with a tripod, but it was a small mini-pod that I could carry in my pocket. I placed the tripod and camera on walls, trash cans, etc. Exposures were mostly from 1/2 sec to 2 sec, sometimes a little more.

I would not consider the G9 wide enough for many shots. The high ISO performance would not be sufficient for indoor shots in many cases. Plus, the mass and size of the camera do not allow for easy hand held stabilization at low shutter speeds. I learned this in China.

I will be bringing both of my DSLR bodies next week to the various FL Disney places. Well worth it.

Thanks, I've got an ultrapod II, so I'll make sure I pack that for the trip as well. :)
