Auto Cross in Maggie Valley, NC

Here is a shot I took at the Auto Cross last weekend in Maggie Valley, NC. This is my first attempt at an Auto Cross, what do you think?

I think panning is way over used, but in this situation, it works really well cleaning up the shot and creating focus on the car.

Yeah, I am not sure I like it either but that is the big thing now so I have to master it or I won't sell my race pictures. I love it only if the details of the car and driver are clear. These were handheld and no photoshop, just cropped, otherwise right out of the camera.

If this was taken with the 40D, I would crop the hell out of it. That was you can get rid of the distracting people and cones.

Yes, I did use my 40D and now I cropped it.

Great shot. I like the cropped one a little more because they people in the background were a little distracting.
